Drew Skinner-Shah was Nara’s Co-founder and COO. He passed away in a traffic accident while training for a marathon in February 2024.
Drew had spent the previous decade working closely with the world’s most prestigious technology and business publications. Specialising in corporate announcements, CEO profile building, thought leadership, crisis communications, technology conferences, and product PR, he was responsible for the communication strategy of dozens of technology-driven companies.
Before joining the comms industry, Drew worked as a newspaper, magazine, and online journalist. He was also a doting, fabulous husband, an adored son, a baby brother, a proud uncle, a beloved son-in-law and protective brother-in-law, a rabid Coventry City fan, a history nerd, a music snob, and the last person to leave a party.
Drew moved to London and built a life there for himself. He was a boy from the Midlands who was married in Pakistan in front of thousands of people. He was an entrepreneur who had built a multi-million-pound business and a role model to his employees.
A professional who travelled the world meeting with CEOs and journalists, and a globetrotter who had lived with his wife Mina in New York, Athens, Bologna, Vienna, Edinburgh, and Lisbon in just the last three years of his life. He was the greatest friend anyone could ask for.
We miss him every day and we uphold his legacy in our company growth, how we treat each other at Nara, and the continuation of the business he built.
